Anton Kiiski, also known as Jarssi, is a cinematographer and filmmaker, based in Helsinki. His background in snowboarding and interest in storytelling has led him in to filmmaking across the world.
I grew up filming snowboarding, and my work has taken me around the world, shooting in all kinds of extreme weather and light conditions. Over time, I developed a passion for analog film and began working mainly with 16mm. I’ve carried my camera everywhere – from Finland’s polar nights to the bright, snow-covered forests of Japan. Working with small crews and in challenging conditions has taught me how to work with natural light in every situation.
